Breaking News English – Current news articles written for various levels. Vocabulary, reading, writing, listening, and grammar exercises for each article/level.

Easy English News– Easy English News is a monthly newspaper that is designed for ESL readers, focusing on vocabulary, culture, customs, civics, history, humor, idioms, and current news that matters to them.

Speech Language Therapy – Great for working with minimal and near minimal pairs.

Language Guide – Picture dictionary with identification practice.

Quizlet – Create online flashcard sets with pictures and sounds. Students can practice flashcards in a variety of online games. Create your own set or search for sets created by other teachers. Must create a free account (Premium membership allows uploading own images, +).

Grammar Book – Useful website is very helpful for explaining grammar and punctuation, with examples you can use for teaching.

Learning Chocolate – Vocabulary site with audio, visuals, reading, and writing practice.

Starfall – Beginner site for ABCs, phonics and beginning reading.

Pronunciation Doctor with Marsha Chan – English Accent Modification videos with Marsha Chan.

ESL Cyber Listening Lab – Listening comprehension exercises for various levels.

English Club – Website provides extensive resources for ESL teachers as well as many kinds of lessons for learners.

Phrase Mix – Easy, quick, and helpful website for learners who want to speak more natural English.  It provides new useful real-world English phrases or expression every day.  You can teach a few of these to your students each week.

EL Civics and Government and History Lessons – Variety of government and history lessons for ESL students–easy ways to learn about American history, geography, and culture.
